Level 3 Registered Nurse – Diagnostic Imaging

Join our fast-paced Diagnostic Imaging department in a Level 1 Trauma Center environment. This multifaceted role involves pre- and post-procedural patient care within Interventional Radiology, CT Scan, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, X-ray, and Ultrasound areas. Nurses provide care for both inpatient and outpatient populations across the lifespan, ensuring high-quality preparation, recovery, and observation for procedural patients.

You will collaborate within a multidisciplinary team, offering skilled nursing care and clinical judgment in a dynamic work environment that values flexibility, enthusiasm, and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities

1. Provide pre-procedural preparation, post-procedural recovery, and 23-hour observation care for Interventional Radiology patients.
2. Manage and monitor inpatients and outpatients boarding overnight pre- or post-procedure.
3. Utilize strong critical thinking and communication skills within a multidisciplinary care team.
4. Support a broad range of imaging procedures across Diagnostic Imaging units.
5. Maintain compliance with all safety, infection control, and patient confidentiality protocols.
6. Perform charge duties as assigned per unit needs.

Qualifications

1. Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Registered Nurse in Interventional Radiology or equivalent Diagnostic Imaging nursing setting.
2. Telemetry experience required.
3. Active and current New York RN License (required).
4. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
5. Experience with GI post-procedural care preferred, but not required.
6. Medical/Surgical and Telemetry background preferred.

Certifications

1. BLS – American Heart Association (required)
2. ACLS – American Heart Association (required)

Contract Details

1. Length: 13 or 17 weeks (based on mutual agreement)
2. Setting: Level 1 Trauma Center, pre/post Interventional Radiology and Diagnostic Imaging

Schedule: Rotating shifts (Day/Evening) with occasional weekends.
