Job Description:

Join our dynamic Intensive Care Unit as an ICU Registered Nurse, working full-time rotating day and night shifts. Provide high-level care to critically ill patients in a collaborative and supportive environment.

Responsibilities

1. Deliver comprehensive nursing care to critically ill pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients in the ICU.
2. Monitor and assess patient status, administer medications, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
3. Maintain accurate documentation and ensure patient safety and dignity at all times.
4. Demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development across the lifespan.
5. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff.
6. Uphold confidentiality and professional standards in all interactions.

Minimum Qualifications

1. License: Current NYS Registered Professional Nurse license (required).
2. Certifications (AHA/RQI only):
3. BLS, ACLS, PALS (must be obtained during clinical orientation)
4. NIHSS
5. Basic Coronary Care within 90 days of hire
6. CPI certification within 90 days of hire
7. Skills:
8. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
9. Professional and courteous demeanor
10. Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
11. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
12. Computer literacy

Preferred Qualifications

1. Certification by the Emergency Nurses Association (within 2 years of hire recommended)
2. TNCC certification (within 2 years of hire recommended)
3. Experience with Microsoft Office and electronic medical records

Schedule: Full-Time, Rotating Days/Nights (7a-7p / 7p-7a), including weekends and holidays
