Registered Nurse – Operating Room (OR)

We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join a high-acuity, Level 1 Trauma Center in Rochester, NY. This role offers exposure to a diverse surgical caseload and advanced technology, including Da Vinci robotic systems and a comprehensive transplant program.

Schedule & Requirements:

1. Rotating Day/Evening/Night shifts
2. On-call and callback required
3. Weekend and holiday coverage required based on unit needs
4. Floating required as needed

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide nursing care in the operating room across a wide range of surgical specialties
2. Perform both scrub and circulating duties
3. Collaborate with multidisciplinary surgical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
4. Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to all surgical protocols

Minimum Requirements:

1. Active RN License – New York State (Required)
2. Minimum of 2 years Operating Room experience (Level 1 Trauma experience preferred)
3. Ability to scrub and circulate cases

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Telemetry experience (highly desired)
2. Experience with complex surgical cases including:
3. Transplants
4. Plastics/Reconstructive procedures
5. Craniotomy
6. Strong Orthopedic background

Certifications:

1. BLS – American Heart Association (Required)
2. ACLS (Preferred)
